The purpose of this site is to present the Newari painting, which is call "Paubha" in Newari, "Pata" in Sanskrit and "Thangka" inTibetin. In the past, Paubha painting was a sacred art and its production was itself a form of religious sadhana. But in modern times these practices have been almost forgotten. As a traditional artist, I'm doing Newari paintings. Here are some painting which are Buddhist and Hindus painting. In the past, only the primary colors are used for traditional painting and they are red, blue, yellow, black, and white and in addition, indigo blue and crimson lacs. I used gouache colour and gold.
Nowadays, I'm giving Painting classes in Berkeley, CA, in every Sunday at 12:00 to 2:30 pm.
